This Redevelopment Assistance Demonstration (RAD) project transforms two key properties—Jefferson Square Apartments and Barry Towers—into modern, comfortable homes that foster community and stability for individuals, 50 years old and over, seeking quality affordable housing in Memphis, TN.
Together, these two properties represent 405 upgraded apartment homes designed to preserve affordability while improving comfort, safety, and long-term sustainability. The redevelopment will include enhanced amenities, renovated interiors, and updated building systems—all crafted to create welcoming spaces that residents can proudly call home.
Jefferson Square Apartments at 741 Adams Avenue blends classic charm with fresh updates, offering a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom homes surrounded by shaded green spaces and easy access to downtown conveniences.
Barry Towers Apartments at 255 North Lauderdale Street provides modernized studio and one-bedroom homes in a 14-story high-rise setting, with panoramic city views and proximity to essential services, parks, and transportation.
